Found Objects Jewellery by Britta Boeckmann

Wood and Resin

She's inspired by the Australia's Flora and Fauna and all of her pieces are hand crafted. The techniques she uses in making these pieces involves the delicate process of making moulds, casting resin and wood, sanding the piece to their unique shape, varnishing or oiling the finished jewellery. She uses four species of wood such as jackfruit, redwood, mahogany and greywood which is not usually used for furniture. What i like about this designer is the fact that she can use two unusual objects which might not work out nicely due to the wood being raw on one side but she was able to produce such beautiful jewellery.
